Itinerary
Day 1 - Perth to Kalbarri
Day 2 - Kalbarri - Shark Bay
Today, you can explore Kalbarri National Park. Hike up to Nature’s Window and admire the unique rock formation. Take the Z Bend trail to see the best views of the park. In the afternoon, head towards Shark Bay and visit a beach made of white cockle shells. Your accommodation for tonight will be in Monkey Mia.
Meals include breakfast and dinner. Accommodations are in RAC Monkey Mia Resort Backpacker Dorms or a similar option with shared bathroom facilities. One option is to go abseiling at Z-Bend in Kalbarri. The driving distance is 450km, and the hiking distance is 3km, with a Grade 3-4 difficulty level.
Begin your day with an exciting adventure: abseiling down the gorge walls in Kalbarri National Park with Kalbarri Abseil. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be given on-site. All necessary equipment will be provided as well. Capture memorable moments with your camera, and non-participating guests can take photos. This thrilling experience can be arranged during your tour.
Day 3 - Monkey Mia - Coral Bay
This morning, you will witness a renowned wildlife encounter in Australia. The Monkey Mia Dolphins will swim to shore and be hand-fed in knee-deep water. Take some time to relax on the stunning coastline before visiting the Stromatolites. These rock formations are made by a single-celled microbe and are estimated to be 3.7 billion years old. They are still alive today. Tonight, you will journey to Coral Bay and stay overnight on the edge of the Ningaloo Reef.
Meals provided include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Accommodation options include Ningaloo Coral Bay Backpacker Dorms or similar, with shared bathroom facilities. The driving distance is 580km. The hike distance is 2km, with a Grade 1 difficulty level.
Day 4 - Coral Bay
Explore the Ningaloo Reef in Coral Bay. Snorkel the vibrant reefs steps from the beach. Take a tour to explore offshore reefs. Relax on the sunny beach. Later, travel to Exmouth.
Meals provided are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Accommodation is at Potshot Hotel Resort Backpacker Dorms or a similar option with shared bathroom facilities. Activities include swimming with Manta Rays, snorkelling at Ningaloo Reef, and taking glass-bottom boat tours. Guests cannot book Whaleshark Swims on this day as they return after the bus has left Coral Bay. The driving distance is 155km with a Grade 1 difficulty level.
Optional Activities: (pre-booking is recommended)
You can swim with Manta Rays on the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. Please note that this activity is only available for competent swimmers.
Take a 5-6 hour tour of the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. The tour includes all necessary equipment, such as wetsuits if needed, and provides morning and afternoon tea and a buffet lunch of cold meats and salads. Witness the graceful movements of manta rays underwater and enjoy two snorkelling sessions to see a variety of fish, corals, and possibly sea turtles and reef sharks. Additionally, visit the turtle sanctuary to observe turtles surfacing for air in the shallows.
Experience a glass-bottom boat tour on the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours.
Take a tour of the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. They have a glass bottom boat for you to see the fish and corals. You can choose from a 1, 2, or 3-hour journey. The 1-hour journey is just for looking through the glass. The 2-hour journey also includes snorkelling. The 3-hour journey has glass viewing, snorkelling, and a visit to the turtle sanctuary. You can watch turtles feeding and coming up for air at the turtle sanctuary. The skipper might even try to get the turtles under the glass for you! Snorkel tours provide equipment.
Guests cannot book Whaleshark Swims on [day 4] as they return after the bus has already left Coral Bay. All optional activities in Coral Bay must be completed by 3:45-4:00 pm.
Day 5 - Exmouth
Today, you will explore Cape Range National Park. You will see spectacular scenes of rugged limestone ranges, deep canyons, and 50km of pristine beaches. You can visit Turquoise Bay, Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyering Visitors Center, and more. The tour will finish in the late afternoon, making it an incredible day to end your Perth to Exmouth tour.
We offer three meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will be accommodated in Potshot Hotel Resort Backpacker Dorms or a similar option with shared bathroom facilities. You can choose between a Whaleshark (Mar-Sep) or Humpback (Aug-Oct) Swim, but pre-booking is required. The driving distance is 135km, and the hike distance is 1km with a Grade 1-2 difficulty level.
Optional Activities: (pre-booking is recommended)
Exmouth Dive Centre offers seasonal swims with Whalesharks and Humpback Whales from March to August. Please note that this activity is only suitable for competent swimmers.
Join Exmouth Dive Centre for a day on the water. Start with a reef snorkel, and enjoy the coral gardens and fish. Spot turtles or reef sharks! Then, search for humpback whales and whale sharks with a spotter plane. The humpback whale swim depends on their willingness to participate. If they don’t, the plane will search for another group. Equipment and wetsuits were provided. Morning and afternoon tea and buffet lunch were included.
Day 6 - End of the tour in Exmouth
Regrettably, check-out time for your accommodation is at 10:00 am today so we will bid farewell.
Meals provided include breakfast, and guests can extend their stay or make arrangements for connections to their next destination, but at their own expense.
We may change tour routes or itinerary schedules due to seasonal weather fluctuations, park closures, and operational reasons.
